Unpack the mindset shifts, strategic frameworks, and personal magic that spark meaningful business growth.
Host (Maya):
Welcome back to the Ammora Podcast. Today’s episode is one that’s going to hit home for a lot of you — especially if you’ve been building your business with hustle energy and are craving a new way of leading. We’re calling this one “The Empowered Shift”, and it’s all about what happens when mindset meets strategy… and a little bit of magic.
Joining me is someone who embodies this intersection — mindset coach and intuitive strategist, Nina Torres. Nina, welcome to the show!
Guest (Nina):
Thank you, Maya! I’m so excited to dive in. I love that you included the word magic in the title. That’s my language!
Maya:
Right? I think so many women listening right now feel like they’ve done the strategy, they’ve read the books, they’ve mapped the funnels — but something still feels off. Like they’re missing the soul. What do you think’s going on there?
Nina:
Yeah, I see that a lot. I always say: if the strategy feels heavy, it’s not the right strategy for you. We’ve internalized this idea that success only comes through grind. And what ends up happening is people build these perfectly optimized businesses — that they hate being in.
Maya:
That’s real. I’ve been there too. So what is "The Empowered Shift" to you?
Nina:
To me, it’s about reclaiming your power as a whole human. Not just as a CEO, but as a woman, as a leader, as someone with intuition, cycles, emotions. It’s deciding that your business should support your energy — not drain it. And that your mindset isn’t something you “fix” — it’s something you partner with.
Maya:
Yes. So when you’re working with a client who’s still stuck in high-functioning burnout, what’s your first move?
Nina:
Compassion. Always. There’s no healing in self-judgment. I help them slow down enough to hear themselves again. We do nervous system work. We uncover old stories — like “I have to do it all myself,” or “rest means I’m lazy.” From there, we can start co-creating a way of working that feels sustainable, energizing, and deeply honest.
Maya:
And it’s so interesting how often mindset and strategy get separated. You’re either in “coach energy” or “funnel-building mode” — but you don’t treat them as integrated. How do you approach blending the two?
Nina:
Love this question. The magic happens when they’re not fighting each other. Let’s say you’re launching a group program. The strategy might say: run a webinar, send 6 emails, post 3x a week. Great. But your mindset says: “I’m afraid no one will sign up,” or “I sound like I’m begging.” If you ignore that mindset piece? Your strategy won’t land — energetically or practically. So I always say: build the strategy around your nervous system and belief system.
Maya:
So good. I also know you talk a lot about intuitive business. Can you give us a real-world example of how that works?
Nina:
Totally. One of my clients was planning a launch and felt overwhelmed by all the noise. So we did a visualization. We asked: what does your future self say about this launch? And the answer that came through was: “Keep it simple. Lead with service.” So she ditched half the launch plan, showed up in service-based conversations, and still had her highest conversion rate to date. Strategy followed alignment, not the other way around.
Maya:
That’s so beautiful — and so practical, too. It’s not about burning the strategy down. It’s about tuning in and leading from clarity.
Nina:
Exactly. I call it feminine precision — you don’t need to do more, you need to move from the right place inside yourself. That’s the empowered shift.
Maya:
Oof. Okay, one last question I ask every guest in this series — what’s one mindset shift that changed everything for you?
Nina:
Hmm… I’d say: “I am the medicine.” For so long I thought I had to learn more, prove more, become more. But the moment I started trusting that who I am — my presence, my energy, my story — was already enough… that’s when my business truly aligned. That’s when clients came effortlessly. That’s when I felt free.
Maya:
Goosebumps. Nina, thank you. This conversation was such a permission slip.
Nina:
Thank you for holding space for it, Maya. This was joy.
Maya:
Alright folks — that’s it for today’s episode. If you’re ready to make your own empowered shift, remember: your strategy, your mindset, and your magic — they all belong. We’ll catch you next time on the Ammora Podcast.
